1.         According to a recent study by PWC the most innovative companies are set to grow at twice the pace of the global average over the next 5 years (and three times faster than the least innovative ones). Therefore it is no surprise that achieving breakthrough innovation is the #1 priority of most organizations
2.        However, for many of us working in innovation management, it seems that the current efforts (which include significant investments in innovation systems and process - for example, market research and design thinking are not necessarily yielding the expected returns.
According to a 2015 Deloitte study of the Pharmaceutical industry, companies have seen a significant decline in sales despite increases in R&D investment between 2010 and 2015.
